The device won't turn on.

The Power button may not have been pressed correctly. Release the open/close lock, and press and hold the Power button for at least two seconds.

The device turns off by itself.
A.
The auto shut-off function may be activating. The power will turn off automatically after 60 minutes.

When I used the device for the first time, there was a slight odor.
A.
A slight burning smell is normal due to the heater, and shouldn't necessarily signal a malfunction.
Q.
The plug is abnormally hot. Can I still use the device?
A.
The power outlet may be loose. Do not use the device when the power outlet is loose.
The plug may not be plugged all the way into the outlet. Make sure the plug is securely plugged in.

Can I wrap the power cord around the device to store it?
A.
No. Doing so may cause the wires within the power cord to become disconnected. We recommend using the cord keeper that comes with the device.
Q.
Can I use the device after getting my hair permed, bleached or colored?
A.
Your hair will be damaged after you get it permed，bleached or colored. Refrain from using the device for 3-4 days to avoid further damage.
Q.
The device has a burning smell.
A.
There may be some hairstyling products or dust on the iron plates. To remedy this, turn the power off and unplug the device. After letting the device cool down, clean it thoroughly. For more information about care and usage, see page 15 of the instruction manual.

Is it okay to apply hairstyling products before using the device?
A.
No. Please use the device without any hairstyling products, and then apply them after use.
