(1) Brush your hair. If your hair is wet, dry it with a towel, hair dryer, or any other method you prefer.
(2) Divide your hair into sections and fix them in place with hair clips.
(3) Plug in the power cord.
(4) Release the Open/Close lock.
(5) Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds or longer to turn the power on.
The temperature indicator in addition to the "+" and "-" indicators will display a solid white. The set temperature* display indicator will blink red.
* The temperature is set to 180ºC at the time of purchase. The ReFa BEAUTECH STRAIGHT IRON will remember the last temperature setting used. The next time you use it, the last temperature you set will blink red. (It will not remember the last temperature setting if you unplug the power cord before the power is turned off).
(6) Press the "+" or "-" button within 5 seconds of turning the power on to set the temperature.
(7) You can start styling your hair when the temperature indicator displays a solid red.
(8) To turn off the power, press the Power button. All the display indicators will go out.
(9) Close and lock the Open/Close lock.
(10) Unplug the power cord. Let the hair iron cool down completely before storing it. Store away from direct sunlight, avoiding places where it will be exposed to high temperatures or humidity (e.g., bathrooms, cars, etc.).
(1) Take a section of your hair that is about 5cm in width. If the section is any thicker, it may be difficult to straighten.
(2) Place the section of hair between the iron plates.
(3) Slide the iron down to the tips of the hair in a slow, steady motion.
(4) Repeat steps 1-3 on the rest of your hair, working from the bottom layer of each section to the top.
(5) Finish and set your style with hairstyling products such as such as hair cream or hair wax. Straightening will vary from person to person depending on the natural curl and texture of hair.
These directions are for curling your hair inward. To curl your hair outward, rotate the hair straightener outward in step 3.
(1) Take a section of your hair about 3cm in width.
(2) Slightly tilt the iron in the direction you want to curl your hair and place the section you want to curl between the iron plates.
(3) Rotate the iron inward by a half to a full turn.
(4) Repeat steps 1-3 on the rest of your hair, working from the bottom layer of each section to the top.
(5) Finish and set your style with hairstyling products such as hairspray or hair wax.
