A highly evolved hair dryer engineered to replicate professional techniques to beautifully blow-dry both your scalp and hair the right way, and give you a glossy, silky-smooth finish even faster.1
Teaming up with top salons, ReFa has created a hair dryer that will help you get a healthy look and a silky feel. The brand has now turned its attention to how professional hairstylists blow-dry both the scalp and hair̶not just the hair. Through original technology and a method for drying your scalp and hair beautifully the right way, you'll get a glossy, silky-smooth finish even faster.1
When you've just stepped out of a salon, your hair not only feels silky–smooth, but looks healthier,
with no unwanted waviness or flipping up at the ends, and even some volume on top.
The trick is drying both the scalp and hair.
Professional hairstylists use the right temperatures for the scalp and hair, drying the scalp fully first.
We studied the techniques that only professionals have, unraveled their secrets,
and recreated them—the professionals' hands, eyes, and honed senses—so that anyone can use them.
Heat from hair dryers damages both the scalp and hair.
Many of us are guilty of unconsciously avoiding the hot air and directing it toward the ends instead of the scalp.
This leads to an unhealthy cycle where the scalp doesn't get dried properly but the ends get overdried.
Haircare professionals constantly monitor the heat with their fingertips and switch
between hot and cool air settings to maintain the perfect temperature.
Replicating this pro technique, the Pro–Sensing technology protects the scalp and hair from heat damage
with a heat-controlling target sensor, which monitors the temperature of the hair and automatically switches
between hot and cool air to keep it below 50℃ for the scalp and 60℃ for the hair at all times.
The temperature rises above 60℃ right after you start using the dryer, and soon reaches nearly 100℃.
The temperature stays below 60℃ for the entire time that you're using the dryer.
Note: Tests conducted in an environment with a temperature of 22 ± 1℃ and humidity of 50 ± 5%. The dryer (ReFa BEAUTECH DRYER) was held so that the air outlet was approximately 5 cm from the head. A thermography camera (provided by Nippon Avionics) was used to measure the changes in temperature on the surface of the hair.
The inside of the dryer is equipped with a 99.9% pure high-density carbon plate and an ionizer.
A dedicated heater attached to the carbon plate heats it up easily, making it generate far-infrared rays.
The ionizer generates Hydro Ions by ionizing water molecules in the air.

Drying the hair after the scalp helps improve the quality of each strand and keeps it silky–soft. Hydro Ions and Pro–Sensing keep the temperature below 60℃ for the hair, to prevent overdrying and lock in moisture.
