Questions about ReFa BEAUTECH DRYER SMART

Q. Can I use the device in other countries?

A. No, the device cannot be used in other countries. It is made exclusively for use in Japan.
Q. It doesn't start blowing as soon as I turn the power on.

A. The motor inside the dryer adjusts its speed, and this means it won't always start blowing as soon as you turn the power on. However, the delay will be very short. This happens to ensure that the motor operates safely, and doesn't mean there's a problem with the product.
Q. Does the power turn off automatically?

A. It doesn't have an automatic power-off function.
Q. It switches between hot and cool air all by itself. Is it still OK to use it?

A. The Sensing Program (automatic temperature adjustment function) is on. Turn the Sensing Program off if you don't want it to switch between hot and cool air automatically.
Q. Can I adjust the temperature?

A. The temperature will be controlled to keep the hair surface below around 50°C when the Sensing Program is on "SCALP" and below around 60°C when it's on "MOIST."
Q. Can I switch between hot and cool manually?

A. It blows cool air when the power/temperature selector switch is on "COOL" and hot air when it's on "HOT."
Q. Sensing isn't doing anything.

A. It's designed to sense the ambient temperature and select a program to match, so try making it blow into the air instead of onto your hair. Please contact MTG customer support if it doesn't switch between hot and cool air even when it's in Sensing mode.
Q. I see sparks when I'm using the device. Can I still use it?

A. The safety system may be activating because there is dust and/or hair on the air inlet and outlet. To remedy this, turn the power off and unplug the device. Remove any material stuck to the air inlet and outlet, and wait at least 5 minutes before using the device.
Q. The plug is abnormally hot. Can I still use the device?

A. The power outlet may be loose. Do not use the device when the power outlet is loose. The plug may not be plugged all the way into the outlet. Make sure the plug is securely plugged in.
Q. Can I store it with the power cord wrapped around it?

A. Doing so could break the wiring, so please use the cord band that came with it.
